1. Fish and Seafood

Fish oils are the best food to treat psoriasis as they can significantly improve the functioning of your immune system and reduce inflammation to some extent. Healthcare experts recommend to include fish at least two times a week as the omega-3 fatty acids in fish oils will help in fighting harmful bacteria. These fatty acids are mostly found in albacore tuna, mackerel, salmon, and sardines.

2. Vegetables

As far as curbing the inflammation is concerned, carrots and squash play a more significant role in it. Besides these vegetables, there are also a few others that possess this property. These include broccoli, kale, spinach, and sweet potatoes. Brocolli, spinach and turnip, peas, and aloe vera are also considered beneficial for lowering the intensity of psoriasis symptoms.

Tomatoes, onion, and garlic should be avoided at any cost. Besides, it is also essential to avoid potatoes and chilies – both red and green.

3. Lean Meat

Among non-vegetarian foods, lean meat such as chicken meat and turkey are the best foods to consume for psoriasis. However, red meat needs to be avoided at all costs.

4. Spices

Celery seeds, coriander, cloves, oregano, basil, and turmeric are considered as the spices that can lower the risk of the symptoms associated with psoriasis. However, avoid mustard, pimento, and nutmeg.
